Hampton Controls moves into the optics market

Electronic-components and control-systems manufacturer Hampton Controls Inc. (Wendel, PA) has branched out into optical fabrication with the formation of a new optics division. According to spokesman Paul J. Nacin, Hampton will focus on custom optics, including astronomical optics and aspheres. on-line; recent installations include a polishing machine for optics greater than 1 m in diameter.
