CO2 laser optics
A variety of focusing lenses and mirrors are available for use with carbon dioxide lasers, which emit at 10.6 µm. The lenses are available in plano-convex, plano-concave, and meniscus configurations in sizes from 0.5- to 2-in. diameters and focal lengths ranging from 1 to 20 in. The elements are made of zinc selenide and have 40-20 scratch-dig surfaces and less than 0.25% absorption. The company`s CO2 mirrors are made of silicon, molybdenum, and copper in sizes from 1 to 3 in. in diameter with 99.7% reflectance at 10.6 µm.
