Income for the period totaled $4.8 million, compared to $4.1 million for the same period last year. The company attributed the modest growth to lower-than-expected yields on a product for the solar-power market and to the increased revenue stream from the telecommunications market, with its associated lower gross margins. The company recently named Craig Collins as chief financial officer; Collins was formerly with Nestle Corp.
