Clock recovery unit

An instrument that retimes clock and data signals from optical systems operating at u¥to 2500 Mbit/s is available. The Model 510A Universal Clock/Data Recovery Unit accommodates all SONET and SDH rates, all Fibre Channel rates, Gigabit Ethernet, and other scrambled NR¥and PRBS rates within the range from 50 to 2500 Mbit/s. When the incoming signal is applied to the input port, the machine synchronizes the signals and the retimed data and clock signals appear at the output ports. The system can be used for measuring bit-error ratios.
