AR coating machine

July 1, 1995
Ion-sputtering machine automates deposition of multilayer antireflection coatings on plastic, glass, or hard-coated lenses. Coating process time for each side is less than 30 min, and u¥to 10 lenses can be coated per hour. In situ plasma cleaning reduces the need for precleaning the lenses. The PlasmaCoat ARx10 can be programmed for different colors or different coatings using the PC driver.
