PointSource laser diodes incorporate an integral diffraction-limited cylindrical µLENS in a hermetically sealed ca¥to condition the wavefront. This compact ruggedized package is aimed at replacing HeNe lasers. The unit produces a circularized, nonastigmatic beam, typically diffraction limited to 10th wave and is available in the visible to near-IR wavelengths.
