Inrad Optics to show stilbene scintillation crystals at LASER World of Photonics 2015

June 14, 2015
Stilbene scintillation crystals enable radiation detection equipment for homeland security, nuclear nonproliferation, and neutron detection.

Stilbene scintillation crystals enable next-generation radiation detection equipment for homeland security, nuclear nonproliferation, and neutron detection at nuclear facilities. Advantages include high sensitivity to neutrons and the ability to discriminate between neutrons and gamma-ray radiation. Packaging stilbene with a photodetector allows it to function as a neutron detection system.
