Guernsey Coating Laboratories to demonstrate coating offerings at SPIE Photonics West 2016

Jan. 18, 2016
A line of ITO films has transmittance from the visible through the NIR, with resistances starting below 100 Ω/square.

A line of indium tin oxide (ITO) films has transmittance from the visible through the near-infrared (NIR) with resistances starting below 100 Ω/square. The company's 300 Ω/square coatings can achieve transmission >88% on average from 400 to 1800 nm. Its metallic mirror coatings, with aluminum, silver, and gold base layers, are higher in mechanical and environmental durability. An aluminum coating (AL15) has a reflectivity of >90% average from 400 to 700 nm; a silver coating (M14) reflects >96% average from 480 to 1100 nm and >98.5% from 1.1 to 20 µm; and a gold coating (G14) averages R>96% from 650 to 1700 nm and >98% from 1.7 to 20 µm.
