Santa Rosa, CA--Durable thin film optical coatings manufacturer Deposition Sciences, Inc. (DSI) has appointed David L. Favot to the position of senior program manager. Favot is an optical coatings engineer and expert in the design and deposition of longwave infrared (LWIR) thin films. He recently received an award of recognition from NASA for his work in the production of narrow bandpass (NBP) filters and dichroic beamsplitters.

President and CEO Lee Bartolomei notes that Favot's experience and knowledge with durable thin film optical coatings for several applications should help expand sales and services to meet the growing needs of the company's customers.
