Barrington, NJ--Optical components maker Edmund Optics launched its Norman Edmund Inspiration Award, which honors the contributions made by Norman Edmund, the company's founder, to advance the science of optics. To be presented on October 10, the award includes an additional $5,000 in product donations to be presented to one of the three 2012 first-place prize recipients of the company's worldwide higher education grant program currently running in the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
