Edmund Optics makes promotions at corporate headquarters, in Asia

Optical components and systems producer Edmund Optics has made a handful of promotions—one at its corporate headquarters and three in its Asia-Pacific operations.

Barrington, NJ--Optical components and systems producer Edmund Optics has made a handful of promotions—one at its corporate headquarters and three in its Asia-Pacific operations.

Samuel Sadoulet

At the company's corporate headquarters, Samuel Sadoulet has been named as chief operating officer—a role in which he will be responsible for the company's corporate technology, global engineering, and manufacturing operations. He is a member of the Optical Society (OSA), SPIE, and the Automated Imaging Association (AIA). He received his MS in optical sciences from the University of Arizona and BS in physics from the University of Rochester.

Francis Ang

As the company expands its Asia-Pacific operations to service a growing customer demand with the opening of a new global manufacturing, customer support, and distribution facility in Singapore, they have named Francis Ang as senior director, global manufacturing. Ang will have responsibilities over the development and execution of key manufacturing projects, as well as serve as an advisor to the company's operations managers worldwide.

Vincent ThongTim Kennedy

Also on the list of promotions in Asia are Vincent Thong, who accepted the position of managing director, Edmund Optics Singapore, and Timothy Paul Kennedy as sales director of Asia, based out of Japan. Thong will assume responsibility for the new manufacturing facility in Singapore, and Kennedy will be responsible for sales growth in Asia.
