Edmund Optics to debut variable beam expander, showcase beam combiners and systems at CLEO:2014

May 30, 2014
TECHSPEC variable beam expanders have utility in high-power laser applications where magnification changes may be required, such as prototyping or R&D, while TECHSPEC beam combiners and systems characterize beam profiles to enable integration of stock laser optics into R&D laser systems.

TECHSPEC variable beam expanders have utility in high-power laser applications where magnification changes may be required, such as prototyping or R&D. The beam expanders feature ¼-wave transmitted wavefront, Galilean designs, and high-laser-damage-threshold antireflection coatings to ensure maximum transmittance while minimizing ghost reflections. They use internal translation and focusing mechanisms to continuously adjust magnification and laser divergence without affecting overall housing length, elminating the need to make system accommodations for changes in length. 532 and 1064 nm versions are available, with VIS coating options in 1–3X and 2–8X magnifications.

TECHSPEC beam combiners and systems characterize beam profiles to enable integration of stock laser optics into R&D laser systems for R&D, laboratory, and prototyping applications. The company offers 1750 unique laser optics, including lenses, filters, mirrors, and assemblies, for immediate delivery.
