The model S4LFT2500/328 f-theta lens is designed for multi-kilowatt, high-power lasers. The 30 mm aperture, fused silica lens has a 500 mm focal length, is optimized for 1064 nm, and has a maximum scan field size of 280 × 280 mm. It has low-absorption antireflection coatings (ARCs) to minimize thermal shift within the lens.

SILL Optics Now Sells Large Aperture F-theta Lens for High Power Lasers

The new high-power F-theta lens can handle multi-kilowatt high power lasers and reduces thermal shift within the lens.

SILL Optics now offers an F-theta lens, the model S4LFT2500/328, which can handle multi- kilowatt high power lasers. This is the first 30mm aperture high power lens made of fused silica with low absorption anti reflection coatings to dramatically reduce internal absorption in the bulk material and coating. This minimizes thermal shift within the lens, which can lead to changes in spot size and energy density, ultimately causing unstable process conditions.

“We have developed a great deal of experience over the last several years in designing a lens that will maintain high performance as laser powers increase to very high levels.” Gunter Toesko, SILL Optics.

The S4LFT2500/328 has a focal length of 500mm, optimized for 1064nm (but usable from 1030nm to 1090nm). The lens delivers a maximum scan field size of 280 x 280mm and can accommodate up to a 30mm input beam diameter. The larger beam diameter decreases the energy density on the scan mirror system. The performance of the lens is well suited to imaging single mode fiber and disc lasers with Gaussian intensity profiles of M2= 1.X.
