NIKON INSTRUMENTS’ NEW SMZ-745T LINE OF STEREO MICROSCOPES OFFERS HIGHEST ZOOM MAGNIFICATION IN ITS CLASS

MELVILLE, NY – Featuring the highest zoom magnification in its class at 7.5x zoom, Nikon Instruments, Inc. (www.nikoninstruments.com) introduces the new SMZ-745T line of trinocular stereo microscopes. Well-suited for digital imaging in both the industrial and biomedical fields, the SMZ-745T comes equipped with a camera port and a built-in 0.55x c-mount adapter permitting direct mounting of Nikon DS Series Digital Cameras.

By optimizing the design of the greenough optical system, Nikon was able to realize a 7.5x zoom and a total magnification from 3.35x to 300x. With the adoption of the new total reflection prism, the SMZ-745T allows bright and high contrast images to be obtained.

“The SMZ-745T features the superb optical performance expected from our cutting-edge series of stereoscopic zoom microscopes at an affordable price,” said Mike Metzger, General Manager Sales & Marketing at Nikon Instruments. “With this latest addition, the Nikon stereo zoom microscope lineup is even stronger.”

Additionally, the SMZ-745T features a zooming knob equipped with a click stop for each magnification, and a long working distance of 115mm, providing enough room for fabrication and manipulation on the sample. Designed for various applications and environments, the SMZ-745T also offers ESD protection to prevent samples from being damaged by electrostatic discharge. Plus, the anti-mold design in the interior of the zoom body allows the microscope to be used in environments where the temperature and humidity are high.
