A line of optics designed for 10 kW-class fiber and direct-diode lasers has uses in metal cutting and welding, as well as additive manufacturing. The fused-silica optics undergo magetorhealogical fluid finishing (MRF) for <λ/10 surface irregularity and <1 nm roughness.
