Infrared (IR) and forward-looking IR lenses for use in thermal imaging and IR sensing applications range from 0.5 to 12 in. diameter in materials including germanium, silicon, zinc sulfide, zinc selenide, calcium fluoride, gallium arsenide, AMTIR, and chalcogenide. They can have environmentally durable, thorium-free coatings for the mid- and longwave IR.
