Spectrum Scientific to discuss freeform optics manufacturing capabilities at SPIE Photonics West 2018

Jan. 15, 2018
This manufacturing process uses glass or metal substrates to deliver low-cost freeform optics with aspheric profiles in high volumes.

Spectrum Scientific (SSI)'s manufacturing process uses glass or metal substrates to deliver low-cost freeform optics with aspheric profiles in high volumes to exacting specifications, achieving peak-to-valley surface figures as high as λ/10 or better. Freeform mirrors up to 4.0 in. in diameter as standard, with enhanced aluminum or gold coatings, are also available.
