Fiber metalization system uses low-energy plasma pre-clean

June 24, 2024
The MIDAS metalization system produces single or multilayer symmetrical metal coating.

The MIDAS metalization system produces single or multilayer symmetrical metal coating on fiber-optic ends, mid-spans, or windows in a hermetically sealed optoelectric package. It creates radially symmetrical material stacks on cylindrical rod or tube components. Designed for a small clean room footprint, this load-lock system uses a low-energy plasma pre-clean and a coating chamber for metal and multilayer coatings.
