Off-the-shelf sapphire aspheric lenses, designed and coated at 1064 nm, deliver diffraction-limited performance, superior thermal conductivity, and a 50% reduction in thermally induced focal shift. The 25-mm lenses are available uncoated, with a standard laser V-coat, or with custom coatings. They have 40-20 surface quality and a 22.5-mm center aperture, and are suited for laser applications.
