Single-channel, high-voltage optical-to-electrical converter is compact
The J736 high-voltage optical-to-electrical converter measures 2 × 3 in. When DC-coupled, it converts fiber-optic input to an adjustable-voltage digital output from 0.8 to 20 V peak. Optical threshold is adjustable from 0.2 to 2 mW. Rise and fall times for output signals are typically 1 ns with jitter <10 ps RMS.
