The V-931 two-axis fast steering mirror platform (FSM) uses a frictionless, precision flexure guiding mechanism.

The V-931 two-axis fast steering mirror platform (FSM) uses a frictionless, precision flexure guiding mechanism, with differential voice-coil drives and optical feedback for closed-loop angular position control. Designed for free-space optical communications, it has a beam deflection angle to 8° in theta-X and theta-Y, parallel kinematics design, and 1 µrad angular resolution in the standard model.
