Single-axis linear stepper motors, designed for high-speed, open-loop positioning applications, provide speeds of up to 2 m/s and strokes to 1.7 m.

Single-axis linear stepper motors, designed for high-speed, open-loop positioning applications, provide speeds of up to 2 m/s and strokes to 1.7 m. Coupled with a microstepping driver and indexer, linear stepping motors provide precise position, velocity, and acceleration control. The “forcer” moving assembly is supported by magnetically preloaded air bearings. With microstepping, resolutions from 0.5 to 1 µm are achievable.
