Wessling, Germany--Galvanometer-scanner maker Raylase AG has expanded its existing headquarters in Wessling; the new space includes offices, extended production facilities, and an application center that includes a showroom.

The expansion added about 2500 m2 of new space. The additional offices and production facilities now offer the company enough space for its increasing number of highly qualified staff. The new application center, included in a space called "Factory B," allows Raylase the company to do on-site demos to customers and partners of its components and submodules for laser beam deflection, modulation, and control.

This expansion in Germany follows the expansion of Raylase's Shenzhen, China subsidiary in 2010.

(Speaking of demos, here are a few interesting ones: QPC's Ultra-G green laser, a video-rate color e-paper from Project Vivit, and a bunch from Photonics West 2012.)
