Beam shapers from AdlOptica available for >1 kW sources

Dec. 5, 2012
πShaper NA 0.1_12 and NA 0.2_12 collimating beam shapers operate with high-power TEM00 and multimode fiber lasers and fiber-coupled diode-pumped, solid-state, and diode lasers.

πShaper NA 0.1_12 and NA 0.2_12 collimating beam shapers operate with high-power TEM00 and multimode fiber lasers and fiber-coupled diode-pumped, solid-state, and diode lasers. They convert divergent beams to collimated beams with flat-top intensity distribution at near 100% efficiency. They are available for sources at popular wavelengths with power >1 kW.

PRESS RELEASE

Collimating beam shaper πShaper® for fiber and fiber-coupled lasers

New collimating beam shapers πShaper® NA 0.1_12 / NA 0.2_12 from AdlOptica GmbH are intended to operate with high power TEM00 and multimode fiber lasers as well as fiber-coupled DPSS and diode lasers, combining functions of beam shaping and collimation. Divergent beam with Gaussian or similar profile from a TEM00 and multimode fiber is converted, with nearly 100% efficiency, to collimated (low divergent) beam with flattop (uniform) intensity distribution. Thus, incredible efficiency of laser energy utilization is achieved, a HAZ (Heat Affected Zone) is eliminated, as a whole, laser technologies become more reliable and results of material processing are more stable and predictable.

There are available πShaper® versions for popular wavelengths of modern high power, more than 1 kW, laser sources. Further manipulation of beam shape and profile with using ordinary optical components like beam expanders or cylinder lenses allows realizing round and linear spots of various size. All these features make the πShaper® NA 0.1_12 / NA 0.2_12 indispensable tools in various industrial laser technologies applications: welding, cladding, hardening, cleaning, annealing, and many others.
