PRESS RELEASE

T-Max 5 low profile direct drive rotary positioning stage increases load capacity and improves positioning performance

Deer Park, NY – April 2010 – NUTEC COMPONENTS, INC., a leading manufacturer of advanced precision motion systems, now offers a newly upgraded version of its T-MAX 5 low profile direct drive rotary servo positioning stage, enabling the device to deliver higher load capacity and improved trajectory control. Typical applications for the T-Max 5 include laboratory testing, laser machines, optical metrology, photonic and optical testing and manufacturing.

Driven by a powerful, brushless servo torque motor with an integrated high resolution rotary encoder system, the T-MAX 5 rotary servo positioning stage offers a 135mm hub diameter platform that provides smooth, low friction rotary motion with 360° continuous travel over a large speed range with low hysteresis, low noise, and low vibration. T-MAX 5 features accuracy to within 25 arc seconds, <8 arc seconds of wobble, < 4 microns of concentricity, and <6 microns flatness of rotation. High precision options can reduce these specifications down to 1micron.These performance characteristics make the T-MAX 5 ideal for intermittent part indexing, skew adjustment, as well as precise angular positioning and alignment.

Built for high precision applications, the rugged T-MAX 5 is constructed with a robust, monolithic rotating hub suspended by a preloaded bearing system with a duplex angular ball bearings to deliver remarkable angularity and stability, outstanding dynamic characteristics, and unlimited service life even at maximum loads. An optional cross roller bearing on top achieves extreme stiffness for applications with moment loading.

The T-MAX series is available in four sizes from a 50mm hub up to 200mm. All models feature an aperture permitting feed through of tooling or electrical, vacuum or pneumatic supply lines. Vacuum compatible and clean room versions enable use in clean rooms, vacuum chambers, glove boxes and other applications with controlled environments.
