A software extension for the company`s IPLab Spectrum scientific-imaging software for Macintosh allows users to control their automated Zeiss microscopes. The extension, called ZeissMover, controls the z-axis motors, filter turret, beamsplitter, objective turret, and photo module on the Zeiss AxioPlan-2 and AxioPhot-2 microscopes. The software allows users to automate image acquisition and microscope control for multispectral and fluorescence imaging and 3-D optical sectioning.
