PRESS RELEASE

Photon Control Breaks New Ground in Spectroscopy with New Near-Infrared Spectrometer

Burnaby, B.C., February 22, 2011 ~ Photon Control Inc. ("Photon Control") (TSX-V: PHO), a leading developer of innovative measurement technologies, is pleased to announce the release of the New SPM-001-NIR1700S/NIR2500W to Photon Control’s successful line up of Spectrometers.

The SPM-001-NIR1700S/NIR2500W is a high-resolution 140mm focal length optical bench spectrometer featuring TE cooled 512 pixel InGaAs linear array and is available with 2 different detectors to enhance spectral range from 900nm up to 2500nm for expanding detection capabilities further into the near-infrared. Boasting a longer focal length allows Photon Control to offer customization for both wide and very narrow spectral ranges to the SPM-001-NIR1700S/NIR2500W.

SPM-001-NIR1700S/NIR2500W is well suited for a variety of applications such as Mineral Identification, Petrochemical Analysis, and Pharmaceutical Analysis to name a few.

Photon Control’s Spectrometers are the only ones equipped with an internal DSP chip. This DSP chip is capable of handling complex signal processing tasks. It also features powerful software development kits.

The SPM-001-NIR1700S/NIR2500W works extremely well with the SPL family of light sources and other accessories available at Photon Control.

Photon Control Inc. will be demonstrating the SPM-001-NIR1700S/NIR2500W at PittCon 2011, March 14-17 in Atlanta, Georgia at booth #3677.
