Photron device controller software development kit boosts Matlab and LabVIEW functionality
A device controller software development kit (SDK) is used for both Matlab and National Instruments’ LabVIEW to the Photron Fastcam Viewer (PFV) software package. The new PFV functionality integrates control of the company’s high-speed cameras with the customer’s existing Matlab and LabVIEW functionality, enabling seamless high-speed image acquisition and download.

March 17, 2011 – San Diego, CA – Photron, Inc., a global high speed camera and control software manufacturer has added a device controller software development kit (SDK) for both MATLAB® and National Instruments LabVIEW® to the Photron FASTCAM Viewer (PFV) software package. The new PFV functionality integrates control of Photron's extensive range of high speed cameras with the customer's existing MATLAB® and LabVIEW® functionality, enabling seamless high speed image acquisition and download.
Photron's software’s intuitive user interface provides easy access to integrate complex functionality with the cameras ability to capture, replay and produce high-speed image sequences in industry-standard file formats, including AVI (Windows video), MOV (Apple QuickTime video), TIFF ( 8-bit or 26-bit file formats), JPEG, BMP (Bitmap), PNG (Portable Network Graphics), RAW and RAWW (native camera file formats).
