The Ophir 16K-W compact, water-cooled sensor measures laser powers from 100 W to 16 kW over the spectral range of 0.8 to 2 μm and at 10.6 μm. A 55 mm aperture is insensitive to beam size or angle of divergence. Response time is 3.5 s. A deflecting cone and annular absorber can withstand power densities to 10 kW/cm2.
