The Singapore Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE; Singapore) has signed a collaborative research agreement with the Semiconductor Group of Siemens (Cupertino, CA) to jointly develop organic-light-emitting-diode (OLED) technology on flexible substrates for commercial applications. In the proposed collaboration, IMRE will contribute equipment and expertise for research on and development of OLED displays made of flexible materials. Siemens will provide experience gained through OLED development on glass and will undertake commercialization of products resulting from the collaboration.
