Golden Photon wins $3.5 million DoE contract to shed light on solar-cell manufacturing

Nov. 1, 1995
Charged with developing next-generation manufacturing technologies for thin-film photovoltaic cells, Golden Photon (Golden, CO) was recently awarded a $3.5 million subcontract from the US Department of Energy (DoE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL, Golden, CO). Golden Photon researchers will characterize and optimize the electrode and semiconductor layers in the modules to provide lower-cost processing. The three-year award is part of the $29 million NREL Thin Film Photovoltaic Partner
