OSA announces technical division for optics in biology and medicine

In response to the interest of more than 900 members, the Optical Society of America (OSA) has formed a new technical division called "Optics in Biology and Medicine." The division will provide a focus for OSA activities in the area of biotechnology, coordinating periodic topical meetings and symposia at the society`s annual meeting.
