The Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has announced the 1995 Technology Reinvestment Project (TRP) competition. Small precision-optics manufacturing is one of the eight technology focus areas included in the call for proposals. Small precision-optics manufacturing is one of the eight technology focus areas included in the call for proposals. TR¥director Lee Buchanan characterizes the selected topics as having the greatest potential to ". . . produce direct, immediate benefits to the Department of Defense." The total funding for the competition is $160 million, $10 million of which is available under the Small Business Innovation Research program.
