Campbell CA, March 21, 2003. DenseLight Semiconductors Private Limited has announced its incorporation in the United States and the opening of a new office in Campbell, California. Bill Diamond, DenseLight's CEO, will direct US operations out of this new location. The US office will allow DenseLight to better serve its significant customer base in North American and Europe.

With Sunil Phatak, VP of Technical Marketing already based in the eastern US, DenseLight now has a direct market presence on both coasts of the US as well as in Asia.

Diamond's perspective is that in spite a struggling communications and broader technology sector, the North American market still represents the greatest opportunity for growth. Diamond said, "By incorporating in the US and establishing a base of operations there, DenseLight is making a significant commitment to provide a high level of service to customers in the region. When the market begins to recover, DenseLight will be positioned to support that recovery and help our North American customers succeed in their markets."

"Our products serve a broad range of market segments," said Dr. Phatak, "including optical networks for telecom and datacom, navigation systems, sensors, test instrumentation and biomedical equipment." He added, "Most of our customers world-wide can now enjoy the convenience of a phone call for the direct and immediate support they require."

DenseLight's USA office is located at 900 E. Hamilton Boulevard, Suite 100, Campbell, CA 95008. Tel: (408) 879-7255.
