Arima Optoelectronics Corp., Taiwan and Aixtron AG, Germany have announced the sale of an AIX 2000HT and 2400G3HT system for expanding Arima's existing production capacities for nitride-based ultra-high-brightness LEDs. Arima Optoelectronics was established in September 1998 as a subsidiary of the Arima Group with facilities in Dashi, Taiwan and an R&D center in the UK. Since then, Arima Optoelectronics has become a leading manufacturer of high brightness LED wafers for the spectral range from blue and green to yellow and red.
Andy Huang, Director of Arima Optoelectronics comments: "We provide the highest quality compound semiconductor products for high end optoelectronic applications. We are producing successfully high performance GaN based LED structures which use our patents structure and we have more than 20 patents for several LED Epi-structures on some Aixtron Planetary Reactors."
Aixtron's customized MOCVD systems are the key technology enabling development and manufacture of compound semiconductors and many other multi-component materials. The many advantages of the Aixtron Planetary Reactors include user-friendly operation, excellent process stability as well as very high precursor efficiencies and world best uniformities. Together with excellent reliability and high throughput, all these properties lead to a valuable device yield and a high uptime.
Aixtron AG, a leader in the field of MOCVD systems for compound semiconductor production, possesses an installed base of well over 600 systems. The company is represented in over 15 countries and provides an extensive service and support network for maintenance and system upgrades. For more details, go to: www.aixtron.com.
