Burleigh Instruments (Harpenden, UK) has announced that as of October 24, it will change its trading name to Scientifica Ltd. Company management reports the move is as a result of the increased portfolio of products that the firm can now offer to customers for photonics and life science research applications.
Managing Director Mark Johnson comments: “ Having successfully supported the range of Burleigh Instruments photonics and life science products in the UK for over 5 years, our recent agreement to distribute the complete range of fiberoptic test and measurement equipment from EXFO was a catalyst to change the company's trading name to Scientifica.”
In addition to offering its own range of life science manipulators, Scientifica has exclusive UK distribution agreements with Multi-Channel Systems (neuroscience and nuclear physics research), ALA Scientific Instruments Inc. (pharmacological testing), and npi electronics (electrophysiology research).
