Designing a Metalens with CODE V

The CODE V MetaOptic Design feature, now available in CODE V version 2024.03, can generate a starting point for a metalens design.

The metalens design begins with the CODE V MetaOptic Design add-on feature and uses a polynomial function to represent the meta-atom design parameter distribution. CODE V considers the angular and wavelength dependence of the meta-atom transfer function. It treats the metalens like a diffractive optical element, directly designing the distribution of the meta-atom design parameters. The design parameters are optimized for optical performance and transmission. Ultimately, a GDS file for manufacturing is generated in CODE V.
