    Building on the success of the SmartScan FBG interrogator, Smart Fibres is pleased to announce a new

    ruggedised FBG interrogator for use in harsh environments.

    The optical performance is the same as the SmartScan, 40 nm wavelength range, 2.5 kHz scan rate but with

    the added advantages of :-

     extended temperature range                           -40 to +60 Deg C

     shock and vibration tolerance                          Shock    Z plane (9g) Lateral X&Y (2.5g)

                                                                          Vibration   0.15 (g2/Hz) 0-100Hz, 0.10 (g2/Hz) 100-1000 Hz

     EMC compliance                                              EN61000

    Although designed to meet aerospace requirements, this unit will be ideal for many

    renewable energy strain instrumentation applications.
