High Power Balanced Photodiodes to 5 GHz Bandwidth

Dec. 5, 2016
The DSC705 is a balanced InGaAs photodiode in “push-pull” configuration with each photodiode capable of handling high optical power up to +17 dBm. High Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) and low Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL) make these devices ideal for analog applications. The broad wavelength response of these photodiodes allows for one device for multiple wavelengths and reduces operational and inventory cost. These InGaAs balanced photodiodes are well suited for applications using high LO powers up to +20 dBm, such as LIDAR, and are available in either a K-connectorized package or Discovery’s turn-key Lab Buddy instrument.
