McPherson IR spectrometer features application-specific diffraction gratings
June 11, 2020
Dispersive infrared (IR) spectrometers for the longwave-infrared (LWIR; 8-14 µm) wavelength range come with application-specific diffraction gratings for measuring and tuning specific wavelengths. Grating groove density and optimum blaze wavelengths range from 200 nm to 20 µm. Gold, silver, and other optical coatings enhance performance in the IR.
