PRESS RELEASE

“Power Technology Introduces 405nm 250mW IQ (Instrument Quality) Laser Module”

LITTLE ROCK, AR, November 9, 2011– Power Technology, Inc., a leader in the Photonics Industry for over 40 years, announced today that it is now offering a new IQ (Instrument Quality) Violet laser diode module with 250mW of output power at 405nm. This first of its kind laser is a significant improvement in single mode output power. The new higher-power Violet laser diode module is designed to further meet our customer’s high-end OEM Analytical and General Scientific laser application needs. These applications include Laser-Induced Fluorescence, Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Lithography, Data Storage, Flow Cytometry, Cancer Detection, Remote Optical Sensing, Holography, and Illumination.

William Burgess, VP of Operations, remarked, “We have designed the highest power single-mode 405nm laser that delivers an output power at over twice the level previously available in the industry. Our new IQ (Instrument Quality) Violet laser module delivers the accuracy and power needed to solve complex scientific problems and is specifically designed to better serve the increasing need for power, temperature, and wavelength stability”. He concluded, “The addition of the single-mode 405nm 250mW IQ further demonstrates our capabilities in addressing our customers’ analytical and scientific application needs.”

Mr. Burgess added,”We are excited that PTI’s US manufactured laser modules continue to deliver the highest output power and fastest modulation speeds of any similar laser modules on the market today. Our superior electronics together with CW and pulsed power offerings ensure that even the most demanding solutions can be addressed.”
