The MWA 4500 Series lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) pyroelectric detectors include an integrated voltage mode follower amplifier supplied in a TO39 package.

The MWA 4500 Series lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) pyroelectric detectors include an integrated voltage mode follower amplifier supplied in a TO39 package. A proprietary low-thermal-mass, infrared (IR)-absorbing coating has a UV to 1,000 µm spectral range and frequency response range from below 1 Hz to beyond 4 kHz. Applications for the detectors include Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, gas analysis, laser modulation studies, interferometry, terahertz detection, and non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) spectroscopy.

PRESS RELEASE

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT

MICROWATT APPLICATIONS ANNOUNCES THE AVAILABILITY OF ITS 4500 SERIES LITHIUM TANTALATE PREMIUM PERFORMANCE PYROELECTRIC IR DETECTOR WITH INTEGRATED CURRENT MODE AMPLIFIER.

Microwatt Applications LLC (MWA) supplier of pyroelectric detectors and related accessories is pleased to announce the introduction of the MWA 4500 Series Lithium Tantalate Pyroelectric Detectors specifically for use with FTIR.

These new devices are part of the family of MWA’s high performance premium Pyroelectric IR detectors. The specially processed Lithium Tantalate sensing element with its integrated voltage mode follower amplifier is supplied in a TO39 package. The proprietary low thermal mass IR absorbing coating applied to the crystal surface has been designed to have the broadest spectral range (U.V. to 1,000 microns) and highest frequency response.

The model 4500 Series can provide the highest voltage response and D* available with Lithium Tantalate. The wide frequency response from below 1 Hz to beyond 4 kHz and the superior D* make the MWA 4500 series the best choice for those applications where a very high signal to noise ratio is required. These can be supplied in a variety of weld-sealed transistor style packages with many window materials and filters

Applications Include High Speed Spectroscopy (FTIR), Gas Analysis, Laser Modulation Studies, Interferometry, Terahertz detection and high speed NDIR sensors.
