TECHSPEC Raman edge filters provide >93% transmission to detect weak signals, and have steep edges to detect small Raman shifts.

TECHSPEC Raman edge filters provide >93% transmission to detect weak signals, and have steep edges to detect small Raman shifts. They offer guaranteed transmission widths of <1%, making angle tuning unnecessary. The filters, available in 355 and 785 nm wavelengths, in 12.5, 25, and 50 mm diameters, can be integrated into Raman spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, and life science instrumentation.

PRESS RELEASE

TECHSPEC® Raman Edge Filters detect smallest Raman shifts

Provide deep blocking for maximum laser rejection

Barrington, N.J.-Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, launches their newly designed TECHSPEC® Raman Edge Filters. These precision filters are ideal for integration into Raman Spectroscopy, Confocal Microscopy and Life Science Instrumentation. They provide single filter solutions to reduce spectral noise in Stokes shift applications. TECHSPEC Raman Edge Filters utilize a hard coated design for excellent transmission characteristics compared to traditional coated filters. They are designed to create sharp transitions between transmitted Raman signals and blocked laser wavelengths. The filters feature steep edges, which are ideal for detecting even the smallest Raman shifts.

Guaranteed transition width of less than 1%

TECHSPEC Raman Edge Filters provide guaranteed transition widths of less than 1%. The transition width is the maximum spectral bandwidth between the blocked laser line and the 50% transmission point of the filter. This feature makes angle-tuning unnecessary, greatly simplifying system setup and implementation. The filters deliver high transmission, typically greater than 93%, which allows weak signals to be detected. TECHSPEC Raman Edge Filters are available in 355 nm and 785 nm wavelengths, with diameters of 12.5, 25 and 50 mm. The edge filters are in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
